The John Curtis Patriot basketball team closed out the regular season with a 24-11 overall record, which was good enough for a #4 seed in the Division I playoffs. The Patriots faced the Archbishop Shaw Eagles in a home playoff game Saturday afternoon. The Patriots had a huge second quarter, which enabled them to take a 31-9 lead into the locker room at the half. The third quarter proved to be nearly as big of a quarter, scoring 28 points and increasing the lead to 59-24 after 3 quarters of play. Liberal substitutions were made in the fourth quarter, however the Patriots stayed sharp as the Patriots won going away 82-40. With the victory, the Patriots will now face McKinley at home in the quarter-finals sometime next week. Stay tuned for the date and time, which will be announced via John Curtis’ social media accounts on Twitter (@curtis_patriots) and Facebook.
