Dynah Jones, John Curtis, F, 5-8, Jr.
While Jerkalia Jordan was the point scorer for the Division I state champion Patriots, Jones was the glue and the team leader for maybe the top defensive team in Class 5A. To get things rolling on their way to a Catholic League title, Jones scored 11 points in the district opener against Dominican and finished with 20, which was just seven points than Curtis allowed the entire game. In the quarterfinals against St. Joseph’s, Jones scored a game-high 14 points, as the Patriots allowed just 24.
