Girls Varsity Basketball · Lady Patriots capture district 9-5A title!

The district opener against the Mount Carmel Cubs didn’t start so well for the Patriots. They dropped the game 45-44 to the Cubs and their stranglehold on the district seemed threatened after winning the League the past two seasons. The threat was short-lived, however, as the Patriots dominated the rest of the way winning by an average score of 48-27 in the remaining five league games. The clincher came against Dominican, when the Patriots won 45-27. The Patriots have two remaining non-district games on the schedule, but will be the number 1 seed entering the Division I state playoffs. The Patriots have won back to back state titles and will be going for a school record “three-peat” in the 2019 playoffs.

Congratulations to Coach Barbara Farris, her staff and her team on the district title and good luck to them throughout the state playoffs! Check back to follow their progress through the state tournament.
