Boys Varsity Track · Girls track team wins prestigious All State Sugar Bowl Track Meet! Boys team finishes 6th!


NEW ORLEANS (March 23, 2019) – The Allstate Sugar Bowl Track & Field Classic welcomed the largest field in its 25-year history to Tad Gormley Stadium this Friday and Saturday. The elite field did not disappoint as the meet featured highlight performances throughout its two days. Overall, 139 boys’ and girls’ teams and nearly 2,500 entries participated. Student-athletes from Alabama, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee will be competing. John Curtis Christian School (River Ridge, La.) recorded 66 points to win its first girls’ championship in the event. Last year’s girls’ champ, McGill-Toolen Catholic High School (Mobile, Ala.) took second place with 48 points. Below is a list of all girls who scored for the Patriots.

On the boys side, garnering national attention and turning many heads was the talk of junior Corey Wren’s 100 meter dash time of 10.41, which won the main event. Everyone was on their feet in anticipation of this high profile event and Corey didn’t disappoint. The time was the second fastest time ever for the event in the meet’s history and also ranks as the 2nd fastest recorded time in the nation! Also scoring points for the Patriots, who finished 4th overall, were:
